Roof Cleaning Leatherhead — Soft Wash Specialists
Softwash roof cleaning in Leatherhead and the KT22 area, from Fetcham to Great Bookham. Large detached homes on wooded plots get a careful clean, because shade and leaf fall make moss common.
Why Leatherhead roofs need specialist cleaning
Leatherhead sits between the North Downs and the Surrey Hills. Mature woodland and large gardens fill the Oxshott, Cobham and Fetcham side of the area. Because trees shade the roofs, moss can take hold within a few years.
Overhanging trees also drop leaves into valleys and gutters. Because wet leaf litter keeps the roof damp and feeds new growth, clearing debris matters as much as killing moss. We do both on the same visit.
Executive homes here often have complex roofs, with dormers, hips and several valleys. Because each zone needs full coverage, we survey the layout first. We then quote each roof individually.
Our Leatherhead roof cleaning service
We fix the price before we start, because you should know the cost up front. Each visit includes the steps below.
- Soft wash biocide treatment (no pressure washing)
- Manual moss scraping where required
- Gutter clearance of fallen moss debris
- 5-year regrowth protection guarantee on the treatment
- Free post-job inspection report with photos
- Optional roof coating and colour restoration
We work from our own roof ladders or telescopic softwash lances, so most Leatherhead properties do not need scaffolding. However, steep or tall roofs may call for a cherry picker, and we say so in the quote. Gated drives and long approaches are common, so tell us about access when you ask for a quote.
Leatherhead pricing
Roof cleaning has no single price, because it depends on roof size, pitch, moss coverage and access. For example, a small bungalow with light algae costs less than a tall detached house with thick moss. The quickest way to an accurate number is a free, no-obligation quote for your own Leatherhead home.

Frequently asked questions
How much does roof cleaning cost in Leatherhead?
Soft wash roof cleaning in Leatherhead typically costs from £395 for a semi-detached and from £495 for a detached home. Large executive properties run to £700 or above, however, and we quote them individually. However, we fix the price before work starts.
Do you cover Oxshott, Cobham and Fetcham?
We cover Fetcham, Great Bookham, Oxshott, Stoke D'Abernon, Cobham, Effingham, Ashtead and the surrounding KT22 area. Although some homes are well hidden, we can usually reach them. The quote form will confirm.
Can you handle complex roof shapes with multiple valleys?
Complex roofs are common in this area. We survey the layout before quoting so that we cover every valley, dormer and hip. Because shaded valleys collect moss first, we pay them extra attention.
How do you treat heavily wooded properties?
We clear debris from valleys and gutters and then apply the softwash treatment. Where leaf fall is heavy, a yearly gutter clear can help, since it keeps the roof drier. Ask us about this when you request a quote.
How long does softwash last under trees?
Treatment typically lasts four to five years. However, roofs under dense tree cover may see growth return sooner because they stay damp. Honest advice on timing comes with every quote.
