Roof Cleaning Surrey
Specialist softwash roof cleaning across Guildford, Woking, Reigate and the Surrey commuter belt. Because trees shade so many Surrey roofs, we remove moss, algae and lichen properly, from £350.
Why Surrey roofs need specialist cleaning
Surrey is a wooded county, and trees are a main reason its roofs go green. Because shade and leaf fall keep tiles wet, moss, algae and lichen settle on both tile and slate. Guildford and Dorking also sit beside the Surrey Hills, which Surrey Hills National Landscape says gained Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty status in 1958.
The housing mix is wide. Victorian villas stand in Guildford and Reigate, large detached homes sit on tree-lined roads, and post-war estates fill Woking. Because each type of roof reacts differently, we match the method to the tile.
Many Surrey homeowners ask about softwash before they call, and that suits us. We never recommend pressure washing on a tiled roof, and we are happy to explain the method, the biocide and the tile types. For example, slate needs a gentler mix than concrete.

Typical Surrey prices
| Property type | From |
|---|---|
| Bungalow | £325 |
| Semi-detached | £395 |
| Detached | £475 |
| Large / period property | £700+ |
These are starting prices, because roof size, pitch and moss cover all change the final figure. Surrey prices start a little higher than Kent, since larger roofs can take longer. Our UK roof cleaning cost guide gives more regional context.
