Gutter Clearance

Professional high-reach gutter clearance across the South East. From £75 when bundled with a roof clean. Standalone service available. Camera footage of every run, before and after.

Why gutter clearance matters

Blocked gutters are one of the most common causes of damp, fascia rot and foundation problems in UK homes. Moss from a dirty roof accelerates the problem dramatically — a roof softwash without gutter clearance simply moves the debris from the tiles into the gutters below.

That's why we include gutter clearance of fallen moss debris in every roof cleaning job as standard. For gutters that haven't been cleared in years — or properties with heavy tree canopy overhead — a dedicated clearance service ensures the entire drainage system is running freely.

What's included

  • High-reach vacuum extraction from ground level — no ladder needed for most properties
  • Full clearance of leaves, moss, silt and debris from all gutters and downpipes
  • Camera footage of the inside of gutters before and after clearance
  • Downpipe flush to confirm free drainage
  • Written report if any damage, cracks or joint failures are found
  • All debris bagged and removed — we leave nothing behind

Frequently asked questions

How often should gutters be cleared?

Most homes benefit from gutter clearance once a year — typically in late autumn after leaf fall. Properties with heavy tree canopy overhead, or next to a roof that's been recently softwashed (which can generate a large pulse of debris as the dead moss washes off), may need clearing twice a year.

What do you use to clear gutters?

We use high-reach wet-and-dry vacuum equipment with a carbon fibre pole system that reaches gutters on most two-storey homes from ground level. This is faster, safer and less disruptive than using traditional ladders — and the vacuum suction is far more thorough than scooping by hand.

Do you provide proof the gutters are clear?

Yes. We film a short video pass of every gutter run before and after clearance using a camera attachment on the pole. You get before-and-after footage as part of the job report — useful for landlords, managing agents, and anyone who wants a record for insurance purposes.

What if you find damage inside the gutters?

We photograph and report any cracks, failed joints, sagging sections or leaks we find during clearance. We don't do gutter repairs ourselves, but we can recommend trusted local fixers in your area.

Do you clear downpipes as well as gutters?

Yes. Every gutter clearance includes a downpipe flush — we run water from the top and confirm it flows freely at the bottom. If a downpipe is blocked, we clear it as part of the service at no extra charge in most cases.
